DRUM KIT: Yamaha Stage Custom: £599.00 With its small mass lugs, exclusive matt finishes and quality hardware, this is a bargain kit with professional features. The 8-ply shells are made from Philippine mahogany with a hard outer ply of birch for a luxurious, durable exterior. The shells have a highly resilient matt finish - exclusive to the Custom Standard - which highlights the birch grain and offers the type of beauty usually associated with higher priced drums.

The Stage Custom Standard shells are constructed using Yamaha's exclusive Air Seal System which ensures that each and every shell is of uniform thickness and perfectly round. The bass drums are, at 17", an inch deeper than normal. This gives noticeably greater bottom end and density to the sound.

The heavily chromed small separate lugs bring a contemporary appearance to the kit and are attached to the shell by two bolts. The lugs incorporate spring-less lug nuts that prevent the lug from loosening during performance. The tom toms also feature Yamaha's original YESS (Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System) mounts. This rod-clamp system allows attachment of the drum to the tom holder, so there is no need for a hole in the drum shell for the rod to pass through. The YESS clamp is attached to the shell with two bolts, allowing the shell to vibrate freely without degrading its dynamic range and sustain.

The magnificently functional TH-945A triple tom bracket will give you shivers of bliss if you're trading up from your first cheap kit. Like the YESS mounts the tom holder is the same as used on Yamaha's most expensive series, an extraordinary bonus at this price level. The newly designed 700 series hardware is single braced, strong but lightweight and is the same as used by Steve Gadd on tour. And you get two cymbal stands - a boom and a straight, doubling as a floor mount in the 'fusion' style kit.

The Stage Custom Standard is completed with the addition of a beautifully chromed 14"x5.5" snare drum. The 1.0mm thick steel shell produces a dry, powerful tone and cracking rim-shots, sharp and responsive.

Features: · 20" Bass Drum · 10", 12" & 14" Suspended Power Toms · 14"x5.5" Steel Shell Snare Drum · Hi Hat Stand · 2 x Cymbal Stand · Triple Tom Bracket
