Introduction

That is true, the term culture is a very important part of a county; it highlights the behaviours of the people. Culture is a set of conventional behaviour patterns, assumptions and values. Culture is just like an iceberg. The tip of the iceberg is easy to see, like the perceptible aspects and forbidden of working in other cultures. The lingering huge lump of the iceberg concealed underneath the exterior comprises the invisible characteristic of a culture such as the traditions, experiences, values and behaviors that classify each culture.

Strategic drift

Strategic drift is a management concept in which an organizations' response to the changing environment is often within the parameters of the organizations culture. Culture is traditionally seen as opposition to change, which stifles innovation and results in a momentum of strategy that can lead to strategic drift.

The incremental changes gradually and slowly because of the success of the past and small experimentations around strong capabilities and also because of the stable environment.

Eg:- Growth of lager size stores.

Values:-

Value is often easy to identify within an organization as they tend to be written down as statements about the organization's mission, objectives or strategies.

Beliefs - are more specific, but still are evident from corporate statements.

Behaviours - these are the day-to-day way in which the organization operates. These include work routines and organizational structure.

Paradigm: - taken for granted assumptions and collective expeiance.
