Many students all over the world have a common goal in common which is studying abroad to a foreign country.
Many students wish that they had the opportunity to study abroad, but the obstacles that come along with adjusting to a new society can be hard. People who study abroad would face three common problems, which are adjusting to a new environment, lack of communication, and comparing their culture with the new one.
Adjusting to a new environment is not an easy thing as everybody thinks. Actually, it takes long time to adjust to a new place because of the enormous difference between the cultures. In "A Fish Out Of Water" by Oberg, whenever someone travels overseas they are like "a fish out of water." Like the fish, they have been swimming in their own culture all their lives. A fish does not think about what water it is in.
