Webster defined education as the field of study that deals mainly with methods of teaching and learning in schools. Education, apart from helping individuals attain distinctions, serves other functions as well. Broadly defined, educational objectives focus on developing self-awareness and a system of ethical and moral values, sense of identity through creative expression, religious education, effective and productive participation in the world of work, greater awareness of the role of science and technology for daily application, competence in communication and lastly, to equip us with the ability to adapt to changes.
