My dominant profile is Security/Autonomy, which makes me an independent person who treats people with respect while maintaining my sense of integrity and self-respect. While my primary conflict-handling style is accommodating, that is when I find out that I am wrong, I always become quiet and let the other party have his or her own way. I want to use my primary conflict handling style, which is accommodating to guard against mistakes that can relate to conflict in my laboratory.

When I make mistakes, I focus strongly on what is wrong and attempt to make it right. If it seems that I have conflict with someone in my group, I talk to him/her about it. I do not constantly blame other people for not meeting the deadline of the assignment because it leads people in my group to disrespect me. I say something like "I'm really sorry because I'm so busy with school and work," which will earn me more understanding from others. Moreover, I do not underestimate any group member because working in a group is difficult and stressful, and no one should have the power to control the outcome as he/she does for his/her individual work.
