You're probably waiting for my congratulations. When am I going to tell you that marriage is the best thing you'll ever do? How long's it going to take before I start jotting down my recipe for a perfect sponge? No, I'm not here to praise the 'joys' of marriage. Wanda, I'm certain you'll make a beautiful bride next Tuesday. But before you walk down the aisle there's a few things I'd like to share with you/ I want you to know that marriage is a big commitment. And it's not the type you're thinking of as you look down at your sizable diamond on your finger. Marriage commits you to a life of dehumanising dishes, horrendous housework, and slavish servitude. I tell you, Wanda, it's a cover-up. You might feel like a princess on your wedding day, but you'll be a slave for the rest of your life. Let me begin with my own personal experience. Like you, I once viewed marriage with pride and excitement. I remember the day I returned from my honeymoon, all I wanted to do was get home and be the best WIFE Tony could find, you know the cooking washing "Perfect" wife. In the beginning I was an eager and enthusiastic wife. Day after day I'd iron the neatest shirt and baked the tastiest cakes. But day after day seemed like week after week and Tony became expectant of my chores, Whilst cleaning our apartment that week I was listening to radio, you know 92.1 FM with that girl, well anyway she was interviewing the woman who saved my life.
