Sabanci Holding is the leading conglomerate of Turkey. This group is the leader of Turkey's industrialization process for the past half-century. Sabanci family is risk-taking and have a vision. Thus, they contributed to the development of Turkey by creating large number of employment facilities. This group exist in many different sectors with hugeinvestment amounts. Also they have created trade relations with foreign business groups, persuing them to invest in Turkey.

In this paper, Sakıp Sabancı is analyzed as a leader because of his great contributions to the Turkish Economy and the nation. As a leader, he contributed the importance of entrepreneurship, courage and industrialization of Turkey. He was the leader who brought many innovations to Turkey. He persued many foreign giants to invest in Turkey, like Toyota, Dupont, Bridgestone, IBM and many different brands.

He believed in the productivity and assiduity of Turkish workforce. So far, companies which led by him, created enormous employment facilities that Turkish young people could find a job. Moreover, these investments contributed to the welfare of the nation. Increased investments mean more income for the nation. He is a real leader, not just a manager. Because, leaders encourages innovations and becomes a good model for the development. However, managers are just the implementing personality of decisions set by others. They monitor the processes and make corrections if necessary in terms of how efficiently and properly work is done. This is why Sakıp Sabancı was a real leader, not only in business life, but also in social life.
