UNITED STARS IN TRANSFER TALK by Jimmy Maddrux UNITED'S Mark Viduka and Olivier Dacourt are again the subject of transfer speculation, while Lee Bowyer has confirmed again his desire to stay at Elland Road.

Having been linked with Deportivo La Coruna last week, Viduka is now the subject of interest from fellow Spanish giants Valencia according to reports on Tuesday.

Valencia are reportedly ready to offer a massive £30 million for his signature despite Viduka saying last week he wanted to stay at Elland Road.

But despite the claims Valencia President Jaime Orti confirmed this morning: "There's no interest.

"He's a great player but Valencia are not interested in him and therefore we have not made any contact with Leeds." Meanwhile, Dacourt is reported to be ready to talk to Italian giants Lazio who have had serious discussion with United Chairman Peter Ridsdale about the possible transfer of the French midfielder to Rome.

Dacourt insisted he is happy to stay at Leeds after the initial reports surfaced but according to the Daily Mirror on Tuesday, his advisors are ready to hold talks with the Serie A side, while Juventus are also again linked with the international.

Lee Bowyer, who catapulted himself back into the England reckoning with a dynamic display on Sunday against Sunderland, has reaffirmed his commitment to Leeds.

Bowyer's advisor held further talks with Leeds last week about a new improved five year contract and the midfielder said he hopes a final round of negotiations will finalise the deal.

"Of course I want to stay," he said. "The support here is great. Where can I get support like I've had here? It's impossible." His advisers continue to negotiate with Leeds and he confirmed: "I know they met on Thursday but they haven't agreed terms yet, but hopefully they will and I'll still be here."
