The definition of an energy drink is a soft drink containing a high percentage of sugar, caffeine, or another stimulant, typically consumed during or after sporting activity or as a way of overcoming tiredness. Some of these drinks include red bull, V, Monster, and Rockstar. Many studies have shown that the amount of caffeine in these drinks can effect our health, especially for people under the age of 18, as their bodies are still developing. Similar to that of alcohol on young children. This is why energy drinks are dangerous for developing children and should be banded up until the age of 18.!

Energy drinks have become a very popular source for so called energy, especially among kids. They believe that by drinking these energy supplements they will easily gain the necessary boost to perform well in a sporting event or to stay up late to study. But what are the effects of energy drinks on your health? Many studies show energy drinks can have many negative effects on our bodies especially for people under the age of 18. Many people believe that drinking energy drinks can improve your performance during exercise. However, energy drinks should not be used while exercising as the combination of fluid loss from sweating and diuretic quality of caffeine can leave someone severely dehydrated. Energy drinks can cause heart problems for people who consume these drinks. Caffeine can cause heart cells to release calcium, which may affect heartbeat, leading to arrhythmia. The drinks may also disrupt the normal balance of salts in the body, which has also been linked to arrhythmia. As you can see from the pervious statements energy drinks can cause heart problems, dehydration, and problems with your bloodstream and this can be dangerous for adolescents this is why it should...
