What I Want to Be

What do you want to be when you grow up? Everyone here should have been asked this question at least once, up until now. Some were asked this question when they were a small child while others didn't get asked until later on in life. When kids answered it was most likely something unrealistic like a princess or some kind of alien killer, while older people had more realistic dreams like a lawyer or doctor. For me ever since I was little I always wanted to be a veterinarian.

When I first found out what a veterinarian was I couldn't imagine myself doing anything but this job. I mean, in my mind, I qualified in everything. I loved animals, animals didn't naturally hate me, and I even had animals of my own. In actuality I wasn't exactly an animal tamer but it's not like they attacked me for no reason or anything.

So in my six year old mind I had decided that I would become a very successful, and rich, vet. Though, it wasn't until I entered middle school that I realized just how hard being a vet might be.

In middle school I started to look up what it takes to be a vet and found out it is a lot more work than I thought it would be. But, I was still curtain I wanted to be a vet so I made a vow I would try my best and become the best vet in the world. I even imagined about people coming from all over the word just so their pets can be treated by me. It might sound a bit silly now but you never know what the future awaits.
