America is seen throughout the world as the land of opportunity. People who live here expect to be free and secure from fear. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness all require one very important yet unlisted commodity- health. National health-care should not be controlled by the government, but protecting the citizens of this country from other citizens who are potentially fatally contagious is the duty of the government. Carriers of currently incurable viruses should be quarantined from humanity, and citizens who are diagnosed and curable need to be treated.

There are many many curable and incurable diseases that are invading millions of Americans' dreams. A never-ending register including for example AIDS, Chancroid, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Hepatitis, Herpes, and Human Papillomavirus exists. How can we control this epidemic upon our society? How can we make the current infection one that is disappearing rather than spreading?

Currently over one million American citizens have been diagnosed with AIDS.

This number only includes the Americans who have been diagnosed; there are thousands upon thousands who are HIV-positive and have not developed the AIDS diagnosis defined by the Center for Disease Control's AIDS Case Definition. AIDS is one example of an incurable plague that is spreading in our lands. This virus could however be contained if, for example, the entirety of the population tested HIV-positive was quarantined by law. Imprisonment is not what I am humbly proposing, but relocation for the betterment of all Americans. These individuals are not lepers who should be sent to leper colonies, by any means. They have, however, been infected by a currently incurable and eventually fatal virus that is slowly eating away and spreading throughout our society. So what is the answer to this downward spiral?
