Life can be beautiful when the world is peaceful and clean. But do you think the world is safe for us to live? Ladies and gentlemen, Good afternoon, why isn't the world safe anymore?

In our day and age it is a truism to acknowledge that it is war, terrorism in particular and diseases that are driving the world to be unsafe. The catastrophe of the September 11th and Bali bombing has depreciated the worldwide economy. If we could somehow, turn the clock back, perhaps, people would enjoy and value their lives further. In the past, people were living contentedly under a rounded and friendly environment, no pressures, less competitions and health hazards. Oh- Yes, health hazards. A contagious form of respiratory illness known as SARS has greatly depreciated the travel industry. So are you confident that you won't be contacted with SARS after visiting countries like China or Singapore? I believe that traveling overseas is unsafe.

Reflecting on the current world, humanity is often inevitable to encounter problems caused by warfare. We are all familiar with the intimidation motivated by war and the uncertainties beyond, but what causes the absence of peace in the world? Is it about power and money? Or is it about oil? Imagine what would the world look like if it bents on war? It would be a total destruction of mankind. Franklin Roosevelt once quoted, "more than an end to war, we want an end to the beginning of all wars -- yes, an end to this brutal, inhuman and thoroughly impractical method of settling the differences between governments."
