I first became interested in The National Honor Society when I realized that being in National Honor Society is an honor itself. I discussed this with my father, whose strong recommendation coupled with information I received from others solidified my decision to join the club.

Since The National Honor Society is dedicated to helping the needy, children, the elderly and volunteering, I feel that this is the right society for me because since I was a child, I have been noted for my exceptional empathy. My parents have always instilled in me a sense of responsibility and caring for others. I truly feel my gifts would be best utilized in this club. It is my goal to continue volunteering my time in helping others while pursuing my education and this club is one of the roads to achieve my goal.

Also, through my research, I have found out that National Honor Society helps students to achieve scholarships that are necessary to get into a good college.

So basically, National Honor Society helps you by having you help the community around you. That's the most I like about this club. It gives you a sense of responsibility, as well as a reason to be proud of yourself.

I believe I could make major contributions to helping others by volunteering at schools, hospitals and the society at large if I get the honor to be in the National Honor Society.
