Hello Tilton Rams!
With pre-season right around the corner (could not be more excited if I tried) I thought this would be a good time to introduce myself, the assistant coach, as well as give you a sneak peek into our pre-season. Since I live on campus I am around to answer any questions that you have, so please feel free to send me an e-mail.
Having been a part of field hockey for many years I know how intimidating pre-season can be, so my hope is that this packet will alleviate some of your stress. I have designed pre-season with three goals in mind:
1) for you to demonstrate all of the hard work you have done over the summer in both your cardio workouts and stick drills 2) get to know each other and come together as a team 3) have fun enjoying the game of field hockey.
Each day there will be a combination of cardio workouts, stick drills and game play. If you have been working out over the summer, the cardio portion will be a breeze. My expectations of you as a varsity athlete is that you come to each session with a positive attitude and that you are prepared to work hard and have some fun.
The next few slides will tell you what you need to bring for preseason, as well as provide you with a daily schedule. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask, I am happy to answer them. Also, if you are new to the team, feel free to email me and introduce yourself. I am beyond excited for the new year to begin and look forward to seeing you all on the 28th!!!
