I am an outgoing person, and I think freely about all things. I would learn the most if my roommate was a conservative thinker. Not a conservative in only politics, but also in her style and her personality. Of course there will be a conflict, but I think a learning experience for the both of us will come from this mix of views. She could teach me so much. Her views would open my mind further to a new world of things in which I haven't yet been exposed to.

Her ideas of little change will collide with my ideas of considerable changes as possible. And through this I could learn why change is looked upon as so awful in her standards. Our views would cancel each other out, causing neither one of us to win, but we both will walk away with a new view on different matters. Maybe her reasoning could change my stance on certain topics.

I would discover the bases of fixed thinkers through my roommate and compare her views to my own. I will have a new insight of how I think of different matters myself. It will be a great experience to see how her views repeal my own.

I would learn the origin of the strict ways from which she was taught, and try to understand her thought process. I would see what influenced her ways to be conventional in her way of thinking and life. I could finally see a different view of issues, other than relying on myself as my only objector. She would have her opinion and I would have mine, which would constantly keep us alert with each other. This would keep our relationship very interesting.

Even if it is a non political issue such as how we decorate our room. It will be a battle when I want to decorate the walls in polka dots, and she wants to keep the walls white. Our personalities will the bases of our relationship as friends. I believe the best of friends aren't the same, and a friendship between a loud mouth liberal and a shy conservative is a classic. She could teach me the traditional way of things and I would teach her the unreserved lifestyle centered on my own standards. Her oppositions will keep me on my toes and we will have a bases on which a friendship will grow. I could learn about her predictable fashion and how the way she dresses reflect on the way she acts and thinks.

With my very liberal views and a roommate with conformist ways this will certainly clash and a few learning experiences will come from it. Her ways of traditional styling might influence my unconventional customs. It is a possibility she could bring me to the "right side" of things and maybe vice versa. I would try to understand why she doesn't appreciate lots of changes and as this happens I could realize different things about myself. Maybe through this experience I could learn to tone down my liberal views and at the same time she could learn to let her hair down and go with the flow of things. I would learn so much from her and take everything I learn to heart, and then use it in my later life.
