I dont agree with you. If you have ever umpired or refed a sports game you know that some of your calls you had your doubts about, just like the professionals probably do every once in a while. Sometimes refs themselves look at instant replays and reverse the call. All the refs want to do is make the correct call. I think it is a great idea.

It's a pretty good essay, and people, dont just vote the essay bad just because you dont agree with the opinion. If they make good points in the essay then it is a good essay regardless of whether or not you like their viewpoint or not. Your essay is pretty good, but just as kamakani49 said it does have a little room for improvement. Also, I feel that it wasn't that Jem didn't want to be annoyed by Scout while in school (because outside of school at that time they still played) but more of your second reason (didn't want to be emabarrassed).

THis is clearly not a paper, but it is a good source of things to look up if you were to do a paper on the civil rights movement. Of course there is much more information on each example, but it would be a good start for someone if they were doing a paper or project.

This paper is a solid paper...it is well written, you cover what you need to cover, and you set up the paper perfectly (I like the introduction).

You are right, for example, the movie "Missisippi Burning" was rated R. This prevented us from seeing the movie in class when we were studying in depth the deep south and the civil rights movement. It would have been a great addition to what we have been learning and is a great movie. Also, a lot of movies that I have been mature enough to watch when i was even 14 are rated R. I think that this may be the reason they do not lower the age, because if they lower the age now they may keep lowering the age of rated R movies.

This is a good essay that DOES go straight to the point, but a lot of spelling mistakes. Also, i think in the last paragraph you meant "fusion" instead of "fision" which are two very different things in the world of nuclear reactions and things like that.

All of this extra security would cost money, a lot of money for a lot of security. Also, the "boring" of the crowd will probably not go over so well because if they get bored they will go elsewhere and riot. Other than that the essay was well written and is a pretty good approach to this problem.

This is a well written essay, but I do not feel that everything you say in it is true. Sure, there still is a lot of racism in America, but not as much as you are saying there is. In your essay you say, "White people have this opinion that they are way too good for Black or Hispanic people." This is a generality that you cannot make because I'm white and I have plenty of black friends (almost no hispanics where I live) and I have a ton of white friends who have a lot of black friends too. Also that statement very much so depends on where you live. If you live in the deep south (Alabama or Missisippi around there) then clearly that statement is more true than if you were in NYC or Boston.

I think that this essay was very good, except I do not feel that it is very complete. You do not fully explain or go in depth on any of the other parts of the 1st ammendment.
