For such a complex topic the essay is way too short and there is not enough information to base any of your statements. A few qoutes and more facts would be useful. this is an interesting topic do more research make it great.

THE ESSAY WAS A BIT CHOPPY MAY BE DUE TO POOR FORMAT, BUT OTHER THAN THAT IT WAS PREETY GOOD. Also great choice of charachters to compare.

YOU SEEM TO LACK A CLEAR CENTRAL IDEA IN THIS ESSAY AND IT IS FILLED WITH MANY UNDISTINGUISHABLE QOUTES. It IS ALMOST LIKE A LISTING OF EXCERPTS ON THE MOST FAMOUS SEA DOGS AND DOES NOT FULLY EXPLAIN THEIR ROLE IN WORLD AFFAIRS AT THE TIME. i DONT SEE HOW IT COULD BGE USEFUL TO ANYONE UNLESS THEIR DOING BIOGRAPHIES OF THOSE SEA DOGS YOU MENTIONED. iT IS OBVIOUS LOTS OF RESEARCH WENT INTO IT BUT WITHOUT A CLEAR THESIS IT SEEMS AIMLESS.

the time line effect makes it easy to gather information on him. It is very well written and informative. I actually learned new things about him instead of the same old stuff.

socrates was truly an amazing person. it is great to see you explore his human side rather than just list his academic accomplishments. He gladly accepted death and killed himself. even jesus was scared and prayed in the garden. Socrates is a super human.

I feel there are too many lonq qoutes and in my opinion holden's realization that he can't be the cathcher in the rye comes when phoebe is reaching for the golden ring on the carousal.yet,i do give you much credit because your central theme thirst for love is really hard to evaluate and is not the usual. it would have been much easier for you to do loos of innocence or view of society.
