  • Too Personal!

Well this is an essay based entirely on the writer's personal opinions with no references to any source. It is evident that the writer of this essay is 'young' as his/her views beggar belief in the present world. The reality is a lot of people end up in situations through no fault of theirs, and most importantly, through no decision (or lack of decision) of theirs. Creating a balance between career, family and lifestyle is a continous daily hassle for majority of the population and most often than not, lifestyle tends to get the bad end of the bargain!

  • Subjective View!

Well, the writer wasted no time showing what side on the coin he prefers and therefore this makes the essay somewhat subjective. However it was well written though a critical comparison of both side of the coin would have been appropriate. I strongly disagree with the writer with the sole reason that it is a known fact that the legal system do get it wrong sometimes and there are conclusive proof that innocent lives have been lost via this barbaric form of punishment!

  • Hmmm!

A lot has changed since this article was written making it out of date (unless its been used for historical purposes). However, it was well written and the author showed a thorough grasp of the subject matter.

I think the author was judgemental and quick to take sides in this issues. Both parties to an extent are to blame and the laws itself are not tight enough. That's why the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2003 was passed as a direct result of the 'Enron Crisis"

  • Good work!

Good piece of work but the author could have mentioned the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2003. This Act was brought into force to combat most of the problems hightlighted in this essay.

  • Read the book again!!!

I think the author of this essay did not fully understand the moral of the story. 'Things fall apart' though a fictional story clearly represents what took place in Nigeria about a century ago. The story is about the pride and stubborness of Okonkwo and things might have turn out quite differently for him (and the clan) had he not made some certain rash decisions (such as killing the messenger which lead to him (Okonkwo) taking his own life). The moral of the story is that war and violence does not always solve problems!

While this essay makes an interesting reading, the author failed to make any mention of the most important form of accounting - AUDITING. This is rated more important that all the forms of accounting mentioned in the essay. To put it quite frankly, there would be no reliability on ANY accounting information if the information is not audited internally and externally!

This is a well researched piece of work which I found very educating as it throws enlightenment on the pros and cons of carbohydrate. It would have been nice though if the author had include a bibliography for some of us that would have loved to carry out further research on the subject matter.
