  • Short, but meaningful

I liked this essay, even though it was a bit short. I especially liked the end where it talked about if Ned Kelly was in the world today. Good job, mate!

Almost satanic in belief? How about that old saying "As men are, God once was, and as God is, men may be"? What's so hard to believe? Nobody on earth knows exactly how everything happened, but we will soon know all. So I say that it's not your place to say what's impossible. That's for God to decide.

  • Very interesting

I love Linkin Park, and they always have a really meaningful message in their songs. Except maybe the ones with no words. But anyway, I think you did a good job of looking past the music that most people just accept and finding the true meaning to one of their best songs. Good work!

I fully agree with you...mostly. The problem with the sentance "the music industry makes enough money" is that with big business, enough is never enough. CD sales have definately gone down, but the thing is, they make about 800% profit with each cd they sell. I'd say that a cd takes about $2 to make, right? So I say that if they would sell CDs for about $10, I'd be happy to buy them. But it's so much easier, faster and cheaper to download them.

  • Linkin Park

I think this essay was great, I love Linkin Park, and when I read the title, like slipknot2001, I thought it would be against them, but I think you have a good point. It's letting people out there with similar feelings know that there are other people that are feeling what they are feeling. And like Death_Cloud666, I don't know how Linkin Park could be compared with KoRn...because KoRn are so crap. I don't like their style. Never have, never will. Anyway, yeah, great essay, keep it up!

  • What?

Hmmm...at one point of this essay you say that the Book of Mormon is COMPLETELY contradictory to the Bible...where did you get that from? Maybe some bits of the Book of Mormon differ to bits of the Bible, but that's because the Bible has been changed and translated so many times that it's not completely accurate.

Very good discussion, you obviously know your Simpsons characters, and it's my favourite show, so it was a very interesting read for me. Thanks!

  • Great essay

This essay tells us a lot in a short space of writing, and I'm personally a big fan of The Ramones :) Go Old School Punk! Keep up the good work.

  • Well...

Punk is a great genre, personally it's my favourite. The twist is that I'm a Mormon. I didn't find myself in music, but it has become a HUGE part in my life. I listen to punk all the time. In fact, I'm listening to it right now. But I don't share your beliefs. Especially about the "Believe in nothing" belief. If you believe in nothing...what do you live for? I know your answer: Music. Which is fine, except for the fact that it won't get you far doing nothing in your life except sitting around with earphones in your ears. But an essay is about putting your thoughts and opinion through, and I liked the way you did that. Well structured, and I think it was a great idea to put lyrics into your essay to show your point. Well done!

  • A good essay...

I thought this essay was good, but it had a few flaws that would lose a couple of marks. The paragraphs don't really flow as well as they could have, and there aren't any page references for the quotes. Apart from these facts, the essay's good, a lot of information, keep up the good work.

I've seen a lot of "Of Mice and Men" essays, and this has got to be one of the best. Great flowing paragraphs, lots of information, and lots of good quotes with page references. Good work, keep it up!

A really well done essay in a good format, it really draws a picture for the reader and shows them what you saw. I think it was really good how you linked the end of the essay to the start by using the animal was a good idea, and it was very effective. Good work!

  • Great

Really good informative essay, and based on a lot of true facts. I just what to know why you treated the word God as a swear word. Mormons are against blaspheming, but are not against respectfully calling the Lord by His name. Apart from that question I had, it's a really good essay, told the story accurately, just a couple things that I hope people won't misunderstand.1. End of paragraph 2, where it talks about baptizing for the dead, this is a subject that has to be tread on lightly. We do not dig up dead people and baptize them, we use live people and baptize them in the name of the dead person.2. In the 3rd paragraph, it says that Brigham Young said that people who didn't have MORE than one marriage couldn't reach the highest degree of heaven. He actually said that people who didn't get married in the first place couldn't get into the highest degree of heaven. This is a common misunderstanding. There were more Mormon women than men at this time, so some men had to take more than one wife so that they could all reach the highest degree.Apart from that second misconception, a really good essay, lots of good information, and it has a lot of information for 1000 words.
