Most people incorrectly side with McDonalds on this issue: and it should be taken into account that since this incident (and others like it) McDonalds has lowered it's "hot" coffee tempature since (it used to be at 185 degrees, where the severe burn tempature occurs at 140). Also, this woman received 3rd degree burns from this incident, not just a minor burn. She had every right to sue: a fast food site serving foods at a hazardous tempature is begging for trouble.I think this essay should have been further researched to receive the full scope of the issue before citing it as a valid scenario.
