  • World war 2: what I know assume or imagine

What I Know, Assume, or Imagine. My topic is on the major turning points in World War 2. I am researching World War two because I find history very fascinating and this is a historical event I've always been interested in but never really took the time to learn about it.I know that a big part of World War two had to do with Hitler and Mussoliniwanting to gain more power and control the world. Because of Hitler's constantnagging the governments of other countries gave him land, when he promised hewould stop asking for things after he go them he would always come back formore and ended up getting what he wanted by throwing tantrums. The war mostlyinvolved the European countries except for the united states which got extremelyinvolved after the pearl harbor attack. With the French and every other alliedcountry in the mainland out of the way Germany set its main objective on takingcontrol of Great Britain. After losing many air battles the German army wasstopped from there almost for sure chance of world victory, this was a turningpoint in the war that caused devastation with the axis side.During the research portion of this paper I would like to find out: could thisall have been prevented? Was war necessary? What were Hitler's intentions<Tab/>afterdomination? Where were the major battles that took place? What were the turningpoints of the war? If America did not get involved what was planned against theU.S. after the European nations were all crushed? Without tanks would theGerman army have been as successful?I will research my topic by going to multiple history and war web sites. Talkto any veterans I know. I will also search in school or public libraries forinformation and at home. I will use any information that will be helpful incompletely explaining World War two.
