I have personally read the book The american Revolution you did a great job simplyfing the plot. I know it was a really dry book sorry you had to read it.

Don't put your opinion in a summary if you dont have facts to back it up, don't back up your opinion with more of your opinions; besides that it is a well written essay you could go into more detail about why the the french neaded a absolute monarchy.

A good start as you said you could add more to the conclusion and add more quotes from Plato's republic you could also add more life experience into it.
