  • BRIEF ESSAY

This essay is rather very brief. The writer should have given more details as his topic is quite useful to reseachers.

  • The Other Side

A good essay. However it has not sufficiently sought to convince policy makers on how the alternatives to capital punishment can serve as deterent to voilent crimes which involve death of victims.

  • The Wal-Mart Lesson for retail business

The history of Wal-Mart is definitely a success story and worth studying for replication elsewhere. It is normally expected that a large corporation of the size of Wal-Mart will be suffering from high overhead expenses as well as inefficient bureaucracy. One wonders how Wal-Mart has overcome these negative expectations and is constantly a threat to small local merchant business. This feat requires detailed study. In Africa, there are often numerous small retailers. Though this might be considered as source of employment to individuals, it might only be an indication of inefficient under-employment. Such small retailers could be gainfully employed elsewhere if some ingenious policies are put into the economy.Africa needs the Wal-Mart effect.

  • A necessary evil

Big corporations are a necessary evil in todays world of increasing globalisation. It should be more appropriate for anti-corporations to concentrate on both the plus and minus of big corporations. That is the only way that their concerns will receive hearing. I find this article too one-sided.

  • Thoughts

A major lesson for today's leaders is to ensure that there is a win-win situation, as much as possible when disputes are resolved. If one party is pushed too much to the wall, the peace thereby forged will be very fragile. The major challenge is to find a win-win solution. The world must develop such leadership styles.
