It depends on the quantity of students, like a matter of percentage, for example in southamerican countries, where population is concentrated in very big cities, most of the time, public schools' budget and structure are not good at all, but due to some exceptional good teachers and students, and autodidact students, they can have a good education someway. They are taking advantage of other public resources anyway (like health and food care, etc)

I believe that another important reason for High School Dropouts is the actual speed of our world: information and things in general are passing so fast, all the people want to reach goals so fast also, that many students can feel overpassed by others, and dont care about a career anymore and look other ways to reach any goal that can make them feel good.

Totally agreed, economic concerns had more to do with the settling of British North America than did religious concerns. Anyway, it is also valid that for those religious men with deep faith was the main issue to expand their faith working with companies, this was taken advantage by British government.

You have good comments. Just a constructive critic, I think this book has more other issues to show or discuss like old man feelings to the sea, justly the name of the book, maybe you didn't mention becuase of time or space limits, anyway is still good.

This a good brief summary about that lovely movie, really well done. Maybe Mr Keating is not totally responsible about changing students lives, it' also the rigorous school system they needed to get out of.

Good essay, I think you missed an important disadvantage about internet: with it people tends to have a more sedentary life, since they are less moving, they do less workout, in case of children, parents must establish a maximum number of hours a day.
