There are many good points. Surely we could see many grammatical errors. if the author could do something more, it will make a good essay.

It's helpful for me to write about Gatsby's basing his dream on materialism, which is a main factor that ruins Gatsby's dream.

When seeing the stories nowadays, I understand we all have been in a dream. we get strength from the dream, because we believe we'll do it one day.

If think a little more that Daisy is not Gatsby's final dream. His final dream is the success represented by getting back Daisy's love. Gatsby wants more, more than money, more than Daisy and finally more than reality.

Daisy is not worth Gatsby's pure love. she doesn't have pure feeling of herself and her mind full of money kinds of thing. If Gatsby could spare some time to have a think of these things, He should regret his devotion.

throughout the author talks about Nick's roll as narrator to reveal us the theme of the novel. So, why not mention Nick in the title?

If we divide the American Dream into two parts material dream and emotional dream, we'll be clear why it's inevitable for the ruining of Gatsby's dream. He lost his emotional dream but material dream instead. Based his dream on materialism, Gatsby would surely fail to grasp the real love. Actually, he is an exact example of the corrupted American Dreamer.
