Estella

The novel Great Expectations, written by Charles Dickens, tells the story of a boy who try to be a gentleman .there are many themes here such as : gentleman , ambition etc. Great Expectations has more main characters such as : miss , joe , estella , and pip . so we will talk about Estella the beautiful girl .

Estella is a character on The novel . her name means a star. Estella may be beautiful, but she's as chilly as Frozone, freezing the hearts of everyone around her-including her adopted mom, Miss Havisham. She's proud of herself and for some reason Pip falls in love with her, even though she's really rude to him . She's hardly known him for five minutes before she's telling him that he has "coarse hands" and "thick boots". Miss Havisham, Estella's mentor, has trained her to break boys' hearts, and her first victim is Pip.

Miss Havisham because of her miserable marriage , she use Estella to get revenge against all men.

Estella has a miserable marriage like her mother. she chose nobleman who doesn't love her and leave pip who's love her . she became like her mother and she blame her too. Miss Havisham gets mad at her for pushing her away, and she points out that it's totally Miss Havisham's fault for making her unable to love: " Do you reproach me for being cold? You? […] I am what you have made me." No wonder Estella chooses the harshest, meanest man she possibly could pick to be her husband. in the final scene of the novel, she has become her own woman for the first time in the book. As she says to Pip, "Suffering has been stronger than all other...
