My story is about something that most people my age have experienced. Although I am only thirteen I have known both friendship and girls. I wrote this story because I have learned that friendship is more important than girls.

The short story "Friends" is written in the third person omniscient point of view. The omniscient point of view means that I, as the author, know what goes on in each of the character's minds. In this story this is very helpful because it is about two pairs, so four people and the two pairs love each other. To help the reader understand how each person feels about the other one, the omniscient perspective is the best. I do not think that another point of views would be better because my opinion is that when the story is about two or more people loving each other it is always important to know how they feel: are they mad at each other, are they annoyed, are they happy and so on.

For example "Devin found her attractive too.. He was in love from head to toe", "Kevin was really excited", "So she was a bit surprised and wondered what just happened to him". Although I have used the omniscient point of view I have not explained enough how they feel.

The theme in my short story in my opinion is very important if you are my age because I am sure that I am not the only one who had this problem. It is that friendship is more important than girls.
