Are you a success in life or a failure? If you are like most people, you have no idea how to answer this question. What is the scale to weigh your success on? "Perhaps it would be easier to define what would make one a failure, and then as long as one is not those things, one can consider oneself a success"(Lowenstein 2). Of course, by doing that, one would subconsciously set the failure level below where one is at, because nobody wants to think of one selves as a failure. But what are the aspects of success? Statistics shows that more than 90% of world population considers money, power, and influence a success in life more than anything else.

Money is one of man's greatest and most important inventions, without which civilized society would be unthinkable; most of what we do is either for or with money. "If you notice, the common thread among a general set of things that modern society deem the scale of success is that most of them involve money"(Stanley 12).

To a lot of people, I think, possessing money becomes a substitute for actual "wealth of life". It largely determines our status amongst family, friends, and acquaintances as well as in society at large. "But money is only a tool. It will take one wherever one wishes, but it will not replace one as a driver; and it will give one the means for the satisfaction of ones' desires, but it will not provide one with desires"(Rand 387). With money we can satisfy not only our material needs and wants, but also much non-material, psychological and social needs and desires as well. Money may not buy a real "love", but if one is generous with it, it will give one something very similar. Money...
