The Bead Bar is a company that allows customers to create their own style of jewelry, which inspires ones own creativity. The customer gets to choose the types of beads and creates gorgeous necklaces, bracelets, anklets, earrings, chokers and more. The Bead Bar has outgrown its paper-based system and is in need of an upgrade in today's technology; the poor efficiency of the Bead Bar's current system limits potential growth opportunities in today's global business market. The Bead Bar is currently trying to iron out any current business problems including the correct technology they should be using. The problems most common with the paper-based systems are lost orders, invoicing errors, and completing tasks on time. The information technology needs to include initialization of the Bead Bar website, information sharing between locations, and data confidentially and security. I will develop a systems development plan that the Bead Bar can proactively use and a strong networking system that is important for the company's internal and external communications.

Company InformationThe Bead Bar has three divisions, which consist of Bead Bar Studios, Bead Bar Franchises, and the Bead Bar on Board. The Studio division keeps track of its six Bead Bar studios. There are two studios located in New York City, one on Long Island, one in Washington D.C., and one in Boston, Massachusetts. The franchise division sells a bead package to any business wanting to own a bead bar studio and they also fulfill franchisees' supply requirements. There are five franchises located in Kansas City, Missouri, Chicago, Illinois, Los Angeles, California, Seattle, Washington, and Miami, Florida. The Bead Bar on Board is a special Bead Bar designed for cruise ships and the bar is portable and can be placed on deck or in a lounge. The company is composed of 15 full-time employees...
