The award for biggest manipulator goes to...the United States government! That is right; America's government has become quite skilled at manipulating its citizens using the Bill of Rights. Due to this, the government is currently allowing criminals to reside in their homes, and not in prison. Also, the American citizens are being put at risk as a result of the government deciding that it is acceptable for those criminals to own a gun. Furthermore, those criminals, when caught, have the right to a speedy trial but the government has determined that they can interpret that to mean however long they feel is convenient. Many Americans believe, that they are living in a fair, well-powered country but the reality is that America is none of the sort. The ignorance towards the Bill of Rights has caused a great deal of manipulation from the government towards the Amendments of which they must follow and also, the American people.

What makes a house a home a person's ability to feel comfortable and safe at all times. The fourth Amendment guarantees this luxury to anyone who resides in the United States of America. The Amendment interprets, "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized" (U.S. Constitution). Just this statement alone, can give criminals the right to hide from the authorities. They know that as long as the system cannot directly get to them, they can conceal themselves, without conviction for however long they want.
