Course Objectives

The objectives are (1) to be able to develop a business plan of new venture and (2) to be able to turn an idea into an entrepreneurial firm and (3) to be acquainted with knowledge and skills of managing and growing an entrepreneurial firm.

Course Description

The format of class sessions includes lecture, discussion and cases study for illustrating certain topics. Case analyses or exercise reports should be done in groups of about three persons. Each group should turn in a case analysis or exercise report each week (one group will lead the discussion). Every student should write and present a story (6-10 pages)of new venture including the process from idea to firm-building and the factors of success or failure before mid-term exam.

Each group will develop and present a full business plan (25-35 pages) before final exam.
