Career Planning Project In the Career Workshop I discovered that I needed to work on the following four skills in order to improve my chances in getting and keeping a good job in business after graduating.

1. Time Management 2. Listening 3. Patience 4. Standing Alone The first skill that I need to improve is time management. Time management is the ability to use one's time effectively and efficiently resulting in the ability to get more things done in less time than others do. I have always had a problem with this skill. The main reason is that I tend to procrastinate, leaving things to be done in the last minute. I have realized in the past few years that I must improve my time management if I am ever to get anything done. I used to just not finish everything on time, but school is getting harder and my grades are getting lower because of my lack of proficiency in this skill.

The first thing that I have begun to do to improve this skill is by keeping a day planner, so that I don't forget to do or show up for something important. This has been a great help so far in keeping up with my schoolwork. My grades have definitely improved because of it. The next thing that I am going to do is to try to not sleep too late. I tend to sleep until 9 or 10 o'clock in the mornings and this causes me to have less time to do the things that I need to do during the day.
