The Catholic Church always kept the unique position with absolute power in Italy and Europe for a long time, until a man had come. His name was Martin Luther, a man very intelligent with PhD degree. But not he did not come to serve for the church. In other words, Luther with his 95 theses created a wave of religious changing that have a large impact not only in Italy but for the whole Europe afterwards.

Lawrence in his book Culture and Values A Survey of the Humanities, talked about the day Luther came to debated the church" On the Eve of All Saints' Day in 1517, a German Augustinian friar, Martin Luther (1483-1546), tacked on the door of the collegiate Church of Wittenberg, a parchment containing ninety-five academic propositions ( theses) written in Latin - the usual procedure for advertising academic an debate"(340). Martin Luther criticizes the power and practice of the church.

In fact, the church was too rich at that time and enjoys many things from the back of farmer. He also found fault with the thing the church sell "bond" for church's community by making people feel they could abolish their sin when they bought the "bond" of the church. So every time they commit a sin, they will use one bond to make the soul clear. Luther disagreed with that way of the church treat people, he claim that when people believe they can abolish their sin with church's "bond", the church indirectly encourage people commit sins. In addition, He supposed in his theses that not only the church priest had the right to communicate with god, but also for who believe in god.
