To begin, a definition of what safeguarding is and a brief description of what multi-agencies are and what they aim to achieve, then the challenges and benefits of multi-agency work will be described. Critical aspects of multi-agency collaboration will be identified, and why services work together and how these services work together to safeguard children. Also the importance of referring to policies and legislations, local and nationally, will be looked at when protecting vulnerable children and their families
Furthermore, by looking into different inquiries into child abuse and bereavement, major failings and complexities in multi-agency work can be critically analysed and the weaknesses of different services' shared responsibilities.
