Color complexions
Laundry is the only thing that should be separated by color. When separating people by color, it destroys what our nation is all about. "Race discrimination involves treating someone unfavorably because he/she is of a certain race or because of personal characteristics associated with race (such as hair texture, skin color, or certain facial features)"(EEOC). It causes law enforcement to be more focused on the minorities; African Americans and Mexicans and less focused on the other non-minorities people that do commit crimes. It is also a violation of the fourth and fourteenth amendment. It can easily escalate into violence and/ or hate crimes because it builds more anger and hostile environments. Racial discrimination against African Americans, Arabic, and Hispanics is something everyone does, and will do, but people need to understand that it does not help any situation and can cause more problems for us in our communities.
By law, police enforcement is not to discriminate against people, but mostly they believe that it helps them catch more criminals. In our country the minorities are African American and Hispanics that are mostly caught committing crimes. "African-Americans-particularly males-commit a higher number of offenses as a proportion of the population than other groups" (Library Index) This give no reason to mainly focus on minorities because they are committing more crimes then others is the social level they are place in and influenced by. When police are doing this, they are most likely to focus less on non- minorities that are committing crimes as well. When they discriminate against color it makes a person less suspicious and get away with more crimes.
