"America's Past Time"� Vs. "A Man's Sport"� Though we tend to clump all athletes in one large group, they are quite different. Many people think you're either an athlete or you're not an athlete. In reality, there are many different types of athletes. The games of baseball and football are both very well known in the U.S. Both are televised nationally, run on and both contain some of the finest athletes in the world. What most people don't realize is what special talent these athletes have to play their specific sports. Both games take a mixture of speed, size, skill, and smarts (coaching terms: "the S's"�). In baseball, there is generally more knowledge involved. Football, on the other hand, usually involves more physical ability. Though both are team games, they are approached in different ways. Baseball is made up of a series of small individual mathch-ups that combine to complete the team game.

In football, you 2nd person must have eleven men working toward one goal together throughout the entire game to be successful. There are many similarities in these two major pro sports, but there are also many unnoticed differences.
