The lower intermediate sample unit is "House and Home", a topic that is very common and useful in a community. Nowadays people would like to learn about topics that they can relate to and where they can utilize their language skills; as in their daily life settings. This sample unit offers vocabulary and grammar structure that learners can easily remember and be able to employ as a natural response. This paper will analyze each of part of the sample content unit. This evaluation is divided in four sections: communication skills, linguistic component, methodology and technical feature. Each section will be analyzed and rated in a number rating scale (1= excellent, 2= good, 3= average, 4= bad and 5= awful).

As we know there are four communication skills, reading will be the first to be analyzed. I gave the reading skill in the sample unit a 3 (average).

The reading text is very understandable and suitable for a low intermediate level. Let's remember that even tough this level is progressing in their learning process, students at this stage feel frightened and self-conscious about their knowledge and application of such; since they are starting to be exposed to different grammar structures and rules. At this level students are starting with reading texts that contain several paragraphs and grammar structures that are new to them. This reading text is straight forward and will avoid students' frustration and confusion. For students is essential to have the feeling of understanding when reading a text, in order to assimilate and digest what is being said. We also need to highlight that the topic being applied is very attention grabbing; as we have said before an interesting topic motivates the students to move forward into their language learning and aids them to familiarize...
