As far as media is concern, it's almost everywhere now a days and is especially so in developed countries such as Australia, America, countries in Europe and some to some develop Asian countries too. With such exposure to these media sources, one would wonder if all this would have an effect to that person compared to someone who has no exposure at all. Well, this would all depend on the person who is having the exposure. A person could be constantly be a target for mass media but if that person has a fixed mind and strong will, there will be little effect but this can also be a total opposite in which some cases people are always victims of the media. This shows that there is no right or wrong answer as it all depends on various factors which will be discussed later.

In general, media seems to have a very big impact on the audience but seems more effective to youth in contras to adults who tend to be more conservative when it comes to something new such as fashion or way of life and this is a known fact.

With programs on the television such as MTV and Channel [V] where artist in general would dress in a certain manner would simply results to youths who watches these programs to be influenced by the fashion posted by these 'stars' would follow them. Dr. Brad Bushman, Associate Professor in Psychology of Iowa State University mentions that "There are very few studies on this topic (The Impact of Entertainment Media Violence on Children and Families), but those that have been conducted suggest that music and music videos with violent themes increase aggression."
