Benefits Of Using A Laptop

There are many different kinds of Laptops, some Laptops may be wireless and some may not be. The 1.5Ghz Processor Laptop that I have chosen (see Task 2a) is wireless enabled. There are many specifications that come with the Laptop, such as an Operating System of Windows XP and a Software called 'Works' this allows users to do their normal day-to-day work, making notes and adding data etc...

This specific Laptop is also Internet-enabled, it can be an advantage to business people for transferring any updated information through E-mail etc...

Another advantage is that you can carry it around with you wherever you go, an example of this is that employees have greater flexibility moving round the workplace. So someone checking stock could move around the premises making direct changes to their stock-control system through a wireless-networked laptop.

The Laptop also has WAN network, this can be for business people to connect to the main computer of the company.

The picture on the right hand-side is of the Laptop that I have chosen.

Benefits Of Using A Handheld PC

There is a wide range of Handheld PCs that are different from one or another. The 400Mhz Hewlett Packard Colour Handheld Pocket PC that I have chosen (see Task 2a) is also wireless enabled. There are many features that come with the Pocket PC, such as an Operating System of Windows MOBILE 2003. The buyer of this Pocket PC can also add Software for them to do their work on. It is Bluetooth enabled and is also PC compatible, it can be used for field work etc...

The Pocket PC has a limited amount of free Wireless Broadband Internet Access. Another good thing about the Pocket PC is...
