The topic I chose to do an I-search research paper on is Criminal Investigations. I chose this topic because this is what I am going to school to obtain my degree in. The three things that I know about the most on criminal investigation includes: first, you need some kind of degree, second, that it is a very hard job depending on the case, and third, that the job consists of many difficult tasks.

The three things that I would like to know more about include: what is a crime lab technician and what are their duties, what do criminal investigators do and their point of view of the job, and last, how to investigate a murder.

The three sources that I used to gather my information are: a book called Careers Without College Crime Lab Technician, second I interviewed Sergeant Brian Edwards from the Wilmington Police Department and last a book called Crime Busters The Investigation of Murder.

I believe that my first source is an expert because he is a crime lab technician supervisor, and he has received awards for his performance. You don't get promoted for no reason and you don't receive awards for no reason either. Therefore, my first source is an expert.

I believe that Sergeant Edwards is an expert because he is a crime lab technician supervisor for the Wilmington Sheriffs Department, and he has received awards for his performance. Therefore he is an expert, because he probably wouldn't have received the awards if he didn't know what he was doing.

Sergeant Brian Edwards is an expert due to his experience. He first started off by going into the military Air Force and working voluntarily for a civilian police department. Then when he got out of the military, he worked for the Blanchester police...
