The Invasion of the Body Snatchers is not simply a movie but a study of humanity. The movie makes us wonder what humanity really is, and what we would be without emotion. The Invasion of the Body Snatchers is in this sense much like two works that we have studied this year. 1984 by George Orwell is a study on what humanity is, and why we need love to survive. An Enemy of the People shows how important public opinion really can be.
Body Snatchers is extremely reminiscent of the great literary work 1984 by George Orwell. Both works have two lovers pitted against an inhuman society. The two works show attempts to fight against the inhumanity, and both works show the failure of the leading character.
The key difference between the two is Winston is concerned with what is wrong with himself, more than what is wrong with everyone else.
