Is the Death Penalty Right or Wrong? Should we be able to execute people that have been convicted of murder or should we give them a chance to break out of jail and maybe kill other people. Well the Death Penalty has been around for a while ever since the Old West use to hang people for punishment. It is not cruel if you use the lethal injection but I could believe being electrocuted would hurt a little. The people who are against the death penalty uses many points like what if an innocent is executed, or that the government should have the right to take a life.

I don't have any problems with the death penalty only if all avenues have been investigated and nothing is questionable. I believe in the concept of an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth because there are always consequences to the things you do and murder should not an exception.

Of course every one makes mistakes and a government could also make a mistake; but that is why there are many different judicial branches where appeals can be filed. Infect all the people on death row go from state courts to federal courts and if unsuccessful, they ask for Clemency. Going through this process makes sure that no innocent is executed.

We live in a civilized and organized society where we live a form of government, which is made up of elected officials. Those officials make laws for all it citizens regardless of race or power. Whenever those laws are broken penalties must be paid, and for crimes such as murder there is no batter penalty as taking away the life of a person who took life of someone else.

One other reason the death penalty is right because...
