The thought of journeying to an island far away seems enticing to most people. White sand, crystal blue water, excellent cuisine, and cleanliness are the characteristics most people keep in mind when traveling to an island for either a getaway or to purchase a timeshare. Unfortunately, the island of Kava is currently faced with many obstacles that need to be overcome if Kava is to be seen as a competitor in the tourist and realty worlds. Recently, this south pacific island has been plagued with one natural disaster after another and, in turn, has been exposed to diseases and been stripped of the beauty it once enjoyed. Over 50% of the population is composed of children and teenagers under the age of 15 which presents a major problem in regard to longevity of life amongst the islanders. Since these natural disasters have brought both devastation and disease, prioritizing necessity is a must in order to begin to rebuild the charm and resilience Kava once possessed.

In order to ensure the longevity of Kava as a sustainable island to which people can travel and live, the level of healthcare should be attended to first.

The first step in providing quality healthcare to the people of Kava that have been overwhelmed with various diseases is to set up a top-notch facility that is equipped to handle a high patient load while still providing the level of quality care these individuals demand. Establishing this facility has more benefits than just assisting those whom are sick, it can and will create job positions, can serve as a storm shelter for those escaping the wrath of a natural disaster, and will ultimately assist in reassuring tourists with the knowledge that steps are being taken in order to ensure the welfare and safety of both the...
