Marketing can be defined in many ways; it all depends on the product that one is trying to sell. There are many ways to advertise a product; one can promote a product visually on a newspaper, magazines, television commercial, or on the internet; it can also be advertise orally by word of mouth. I will define marketing as the way to advertise and promote the product that one is trying to sell. By trying to market a product it would lead to success, but it has to be done correctly.

Like I stated in the beginning that marketing has various definitions, in Wikipedia it states that "Marketing is the process of planning and executing the pricing, promotion, and distribution of goods, ideas, and services to create exchanges that satisfy individual and organizational entities" (Wikipedia, 2005). And in American Marketing Association it states that "Marketing is an organizational function and a set of processes for creating, communicating and delivering value to customers and for managing customer relationships in ways that benefit the organization and its stakeholders" (American Marketing Association, 2004).

I worked for Johns Hopkins, in the international department (my formal job). Johns Hopkins provides services for domestic and international patients. They are a company that produces health care to people; it is known for it services world wide and it is growing all over the country with the help of the international department. They have been the best hospital 16 times in role in the world. They have provided and have facilities in these areas; the United States (Baltimore, Maryland), India, Europe, the Middle East, as well as in other countries.
