There is no real influence on the skin care range itself. There is no government tariffs such as the levies on tobacco. The goods and services tax of Australia, which is currently at 10%, applies to the product as skin care is a luxury item. Dermalogica is an overseas company there is now a trend to purchase Australian made products this lapses in to the social section also. Australia has a pro -American government at present. This may not be the position of governments the future. As there is a anti-American sentiment growing/ backlash within Australia as a response to the war with Iraq. Groups are already boycotting American made products.
