Euro. We need to change.
Every time that someone in Politics seems to mention the topic of the Euro, all the controversial arguments begin. Some people believe that we should never change to the single currency, others think we should wait. However, other people think that changing to the Euro will be beneficial to all and that the issue should be addressed. I am one of those people. It is my firm belief that the UK should join the Euro. Therefore, throughout this essay, I will highlight the reasons why the Euro should be introduced.
Firstly, I should explain exactly what the Euro is. In today's society, Britain is part of the European Union. This is a group of countries in Western Europe who have signed a treaty to create a Union of Countries (sometimes referred to as States). There fundamental goal is to create an even closer union among the peoples of Europe.
They share common laws and work closely together. This is why a single currency, known as the Euro, was introduced. In January 2002, notes and coins were introduced into the member euro states. These consisted of 12 out of 15 of the member states. The United Kingdom was one of the countries that opted out of the change over. Britain seems to consider itself as part of the EU but is not incredibly reliable when it comes to changes, or agreeing to new laws.
Now that the Euro has been introduced to different countries, Britain can step back and look at the result. The Labour Party seem to have a clear idea of which direction they would like to head in regards to the Euro. They set up "The Five Tests" which is basically five conditions that the Euro must comply with before Britain decides...

I thought your essay was a very good paper. you brought up some good points about the british converting over to euro. It's ironic I just came back from the Southern part of Europe and the euro was use there and being an american I thought it was some much easier with the euro with comparing to the american dollar. Also, I was in the Southern part of Europe where they did not use the euro and it was pretty difficult and expensive to exchange the money because like you mention in the paper it would be great for tourist and trading. I agree, just from my experencing in both Southern and Northern part of Europe. I find it quite nice here in the U.S. because when you travel both the northern and southern parts of U.S. within the states there is no exchange for dollars unless you come from other countries however, having the euro just makes it more simpler and you can save on the interest. Very good points in your essay.
