How and why did Hitler become chancellor of Germany in 1933.

Well, there are many answers to this question, and many different views. But I am going to start by explaining about Hitler?s childhood. Hitler was born on the 20th of April 1889, in a small town in Braunau. He was born with the name Schicklgruber, until the age of 40 when it was changed to the better-known Hitler. He was the son of a minor customs official and a peasant girl. He went to school but was found to be a very poor student, and did not last out for the whole duration. After spending 2 years making a nuisance of himself, reading, painting and listening to music. He decided to have a go at becoming an artist. He left home and went to Vienna to become an art student. He also found himself failing at this as well, and was rejected due to lack of talent.

For the next few years, Hitler did very little. He tried to make as much money as he could by selling his paintings, but he didn?t make enough to live on, so he was forced to live in a homeless shelter. So by the start of the First World War in 1914, Hitler volunteered for service with the Bavarian army. He was a very dedicated and courageous soldier, and worked very hard being a message runner for the army. For these duties he was awarded the prestigious award of the Iron Cross. However he never managed to get past the rank of private first class, as his commanders felt that he lacked leadership qualities (how wrong they were.) after the war he was made education officer.
