Obesity is the second leading cause of preventable death in the United States.60 million Americans, 20 years and older are obese. Besides that 9 million children and teens ages 6-19 are overweight. Obesity and excess weight are important problems increase the risk of health conditions and diseases including: Breast cancer, Type II diabetes, sleep apnea. These numbers above will keep going up if people don't know how to eat rightly or exercise. But today, because of the amount of work, people rarely have time to exercise or figure out what to eat to keep their bodies fit. Struggling with their weight, they are often willing to try several different weight-loss methods and products to achieve their desires. One popular product we usually see on television or in advertisements is diet pills. But some patients usually use pills without knowing anything about them.

But there are many kinds of diet pills, and many of them come with harsh side effects and can be dangerous to users' bodies.

First of all, it is important to understand what the diet pill is and how it works. Diet pills, which are called anti-obesity medication or weight loss drugs, are all pharmacological agents that reduce or control weight. These drugs change one of the fundamental processes of the human body such as changing metabolism or absorption of calories. But the main treatment of overweight and obese patients remains dieting and physical exercise. Diet drugs are available in several different forms, including prescription drugs, over-the-counter drugs and herbal supplements.
