Similarly to The Fault In our Stars the two main characters, Shailene Woodley (Hazel in TFIOS) and Ansel Elgort (Augustus in TFIOS) starred in the movie Divergent as Tris and Caleb. The film was directed by Neil Burger, it's a film about the world after war being divided by fractions based on human virtues, Tris is warned that she is Divergent and won't fit in so she randomly picks a fraction which she soon learns to develop into. When she discovers a conspiracy by a fraction leader to destroy all Divergents, Tris must learn to trust the mysterious Four (who is played by Theo James) and together they must find out what makes Divergent so dangerous before it's too late. It is a mixture of three very popular genres; Action, Adventure and a touch of Romance which attracts different types of people who have interest in any of the genres.

The setting of Divergent is not anywhere near the same as TFIOS. Divergent is a set in a post-apocalypse which links to the genre because in an action genre you would expect it to be set in a place where it's full of challenges and missions.
