Some of you see some dreams that you think was about your day. If you think of it, you will find some similarities between your dream and your reality. In these types of dreams you are dreaming about the things that you are concerned in your life at that particular time.

There is another type of dreams that is called "collective unconscious" or universal dreams. These types of dreams are not private to you and many people have the same dream that you have with slight difference, that is they are public dreams. These are usually based on the high values of human beings and do not depend on the environment that you are in or the culture that you have. These values are said to be myths that exist with us. They are universally shared among all peoples.

The phrase " the dream is the private myth, the myth is the public dream" by Joseph Campbell, explores the same idea of the universal dreams.

Some of the dreams that we see are private to us, but as for others, they are based on the myths that has passed on to us generations after generations. Everyone ,in a way, shares these myths, and so in a sense, the dreams about these myths are public dreams that every body see. In other words, although our dreams reflect our own personal being and issues, or myths, some of them, like collective unconscious dreams, are universal and it is shared by every body with slight change, depending on the environment and the cultures that they are in. I have experienced both types of these dreams.

Two years ago, I had a private type of dream. I dreamed that I am standing on top of a cliff with one leg. The cliff was...
